Adoption? Us???

|
Why would we want to adopt?
That's a very good question, especially when you consider that Rick is 44, I am 45, we have grown
children in our life and have the freedom and flexibility to do anything we want with our lives.Goodness! We will even
probably be grandparents in the next couple of years... so I know some of our friends and family are thinking... they must
be nuts! What are they thinking? The truth is, we honestly and sincerely feel that this is
what God wants us to do. A couple of years ago I would never have thought I would be seriously considering adoption. We
have friends and family who have adopted. We have seen first hand how adoption can change lives for the better. We have witness
first hand the joy and love these children can bring into a family. I've seen how good it has been for them to be given a
permanent home and a forever family. It truly is the picture of the way God has adopted those of us who love His son
and made us His children. It totally gives me a different perspective on how God feels about me.

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, ..... The King will reply, 'I
tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. --- Matthew
25:35,40
